FUNDRAISING

Event though Camp Fire USA Central Oregon Council is a corporate, non-profit organization, it still takes money to provide services to volunteers, which give continuity to the Camp Fire programs.  Although the organization is not allowed to make a profit in the traditional sense of the word, it is allowed to set financial goals from year to year calculated to cover actual anticipated operating costs, and then raise the needed amount.

Fundraising, then, is a crucial element in the survival of the organization, and consequently the program.  Fundraising for not other reason than to implement the purpose of Camp Fire USA, which is to serve youth.

Camp Fire USA Central Oregon Council has five main sources of income:

• United Way

• Candy Sale

• Program Fees

• Fun Run

• Golf Tournament
